  • Release form and composition

    The release form of Urodan is granules (in plastic jars of 100 g).

    1000 mg of granules contain the following biologically active substances:

    • methenamine – 3 mg;
    • piperazine – 25 mg;
    • bearberry (in the form of leaf extract) – 26 mg.

    Auxiliary components: sugar – 19 mg, tartaric acid – 356 mg, disodium phosphate – 375 mg.

    Composition of the drug

    The active substances contained in the drug are the following:

    • bearberry leaf extract;
    • piperazine;
    • urotropin.

    The additional components are disodium phosphate and tartaric acid.

    Component Properties

    Bearberry leaves, which are part of Urodan in the form of a dry, highly concentrated standardized extract, are among the natural antiseptics, due to which the dietary supplement has an anti-inflammatory, diuretic and disinfectant effect.

    Cleansing the urinary tract from bacterial flora and inflammatory products is due to arbutin and tannins contained in Urodane.

    The antimicrobial properties of the dietary supplement are associated with the glycoside arbutin, which breaks down into free hydroquinone and glucose.

    The antiseptic properties of Urodan are determined by the local irritant and antimicrobial effect of hydroquinone. When it is excreted through the kidneys, irritation of the kidney tissue is observed, and increased urination also occurs. Thanks to hydroquinone, the activity of redox reactions increases. It has a significant effect on the following processes: metabolism, oxygen absorption by tissues, blood levels of potassium, glucose, glutathione, reduction of diabetic ketoacidosis.

    The therapeutic effect of Urodan is enhanced by the specific action of hydrolysis products and tannins. In low concentrations, tannins block the growth of most microorganisms; in high concentrations, they act as antibacterial agents, which leads to the death of microbes.

    Pharmacodynamics

    A drug. containing a combination of active substances. When piperazine salts and Li+ with uric acid , easily soluble salts are formed, which are excreted in the urine. At the same time, the urine becomes alkalized.

    The extract of bearberry leaves contains the glycoside arbutin , which, under the enzymatic action of arbutase , breaks down into glucose and hydroquinone . Hydroquinone enhances redox processes, has an irritating effect, affects metabolism and oxygen saturation of tissues, normalizes the concentration of glucose , potassium and glutathione , and also reduces the level of ketoacidosis in diabetes . The drug contains tannins that affect the pathogenic flora of the urinary tract and helps cleanse the products of inflammation.

    Pharmacokinetics

    piperazine and lithium salts, uric acid is transformed into easily soluble compounds and excreted through the kidneys.

    What is Trimetazidine?

    Belongs to the group of antihypoxic drugs. It has a direct effect on neurons and cardiomyocytes of the brain, helping to optimize their functionality and metabolism. It has a cytoprotective effect, which leads to activation of oxidative decarboxylation. Oxygen absorption is also rationalized (glycolysis is enhanced, the oxidation of fatty acids is blocked).

Our specialists will help you find the nearest pharmacy in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Novosibirsk, Samara, Tyumen or Chelyabinsk, where you can buy Benemid. If your request comes from other regions, we will be able to help you individually.

    See also: Probenecid tab. 500 mg No. 30, produced by Biokanol Pharma GmbH (Germany).

    Benemid tablets produced by Bouchara-Recordati (France) are used to treat gout. They normalize the level of uric acid in the blood, as a result of which its crystals cease to form and are deposited in the joints in the form of specific nodules (tophi). The drug can also be used when taking penicillins and cephalosportins (with the exception of cephaloridine). The main active ingredient probenecid enhances the reabsorption of uric acid in the renal tubules. Its increased excretion from the body occurs, resulting in a uricosuric effect - a decrease in the concentration of uric acid in the blood. This prevents the deposition of urate in the kidneys and cartilage. Under the influence of the drug, uric acid from existing tophi can be released into the blood, which can provoke an acute gout attack. The maximum concentration in the blood is reached 3 hours after taking the drug. Excreted in urine.

    Benemide tablets should not be taken if:

    • pregnancy, lactation;
    • urolithiasis;
    • acute gout attack;
    • secondary hyperuricemia caused by chemotherapeutic agents or tumor development;
    • hypersensitivity to Probenecid and other components of the drug;
    • patients with peripheral blood picture disorders;
    • children under 2 years old;

    Benemide tablets are taken according to the doctor's recommended regimen (usually twice a day), which often includes a gradual increase in dosage. After achieving a stable effect, the daily dose of the drug can be gradually reduced. While taking diuretics, it is recommended to increase the daily dose. If the drug is prescribed during antibiotic therapy, it should be taken in 4 doses half an hour before the administration of the antibiotic.

    Before you buy Benemid at your nearest pharmacy, you should definitely consult your doctor. Self-medication is dangerous for your health.

    People's opinion

    Reviews in the medical field and from buyers vary. Some did not experience any results or effects from the course they took, but Urodan helped others well.

    Reviews from doctors:

    It should be borne in mind that the treatment of any inflammatory process, gout or urolithiasis requires a long period.

    The treatment course includes taking medications, and any physiotherapeutic procedures, dietary nutrition and other methods according to the indications and characteristics of the disease and the general condition of the patient. The dietary supplement Urodan is in most cases recommended as an adjuvant to the main treatment.

    This is a good proven remedy. Before use, be sure to consult with your doctor who knows your medical history. This is important to avoid side effects.

    Arkady Ivanovich, doctor

    It is known that increased levels of uric acid affect the formation of stones and the development of related diseases. The drug Urodan shows positive results in the treatment of gout and urolithiasis, removing excess acid.

    In addition, chronic diseases require regular use of medications as a preventive measure against relapse of symptoms. Urodane is quite suitable for such purposes.

    After taking Urodan, your overall health improves and the likelihood of relapse decreases.

    Elena Alekseevna, doctor

    Patient reviews:

    I took a course of Urodan for the treatment of gout for more than a month. I didn’t notice any changes for the better or any effect. The main thing is that there were no side effects, which is also pleasing.

    Alexey, 48 years old

    People, the treatment of any disease should be comprehensive and you should not expect a miracle from taking this drug, especially a dietary supplement. She was treating gout and taking Urodan in combination with other medications prescribed by the doctor. Inflammation has decreased and health has improved.

    Svetlana, 57 years old

    A good drug, no side effects, easy to drink, quite pleasant, the instructions clearly explain how to use it. However, it is very difficult to get it; it is no longer sold in city pharmacies (the first time I bought it at a pharmacy). Tell me where can I buy it?

    URO-GYAL

    URO-HYAL (manufactured in Russia) is a drug that protects the mucous layer of the urethra and bladder when instilled (dropped) into the latter.

    Release forms

    The drug is available in the form of a sterile solution of sodium hyaluronate (1 mg in 1 ml), hermetically sealed in a 50 ml bottle.

    Use for cystitis

    The main purpose of the drug URO-HYAL is cystitis:

    • recurrent (chronic);
    • interstitial;
    • ray.

    The URO-HYAL solution, previously brought to a temperature of about 20 degrees, is injected into the empty bladder through a urological catheter. The residence time of the drug in the bladder should not be less than half an hour.

    The procedure is carried out once every seven days and requires repetition from 4 to 12 times. The treatment regimen with the drug is determined by the severity of the symptoms of the disease and is established individually.

    Recommended regimen: up to 6 weeks per installation, then once every four weeks until the end of the course.

    In this case, it is advisable to carry out a maintenance installation once a month so that the total duration of therapy is one year.

    Description

    URO-HYAL is a transparent sterile solution of sodium hyaluronate with a pH of 6.5 - 7.5, which according to physical characteristics is classified as viscoelastic (viscoelastic) liquids. Viscoelastic solutions are characterized by the ability to liquefy under external force, remaining stable upon repeated exposure.

    Such solutions perform a protective (protective) function against sensitive tissue surfaces.

    The therapeutic effect of a solution of hyaluronic acid salt is due to the following fact: this acid is part of the mucous layer lining the inner surface of the bladder and urethra, preventing bacteria from attaching to the walls of the organ.

    When this layer is destroyed, bacteria are retained on the wall of the bladder, causing cystitis. When instilled, URO-HYAL restores the damaged layer, producing a therapeutic effect, and also forms a protective film on the mucous membrane, protecting it from external influences during various medical procedures.

    Indications for use

    • The need to create temporary protection for the bladder mucosa during medical procedures (cystoscopy, urethroscopy, radiation therapy of the pelvic organs, TUR of the bladder and prostate gland).
    • Treatment of cystitis (recurrent/chronic, interstitial, radiation).
    • Complex therapy (in combination with vanilloid receptor agonists and M-anticholinergics) for an overactive bladder.

    Contraindications for use

    • Individual expressed sensitivity to the components of the solution.
    • Childhood.
    • Pregnancy.
    • Breastfeeding period.

    special instructions

    • Requires strict adherence to temperature conditions during storage.
    • Intended exclusively for intravesical administration via a urological catheter performed by a physician.
    • It is not compatible with quaternary ammonium salts, therefore the drug should not be allowed to come into contact with instruments that have been treated with such agents.
