Circles before the eyes causes illness in a woman

General characteristics of provoking factors

Any person will worry when “floaters”, flashes, and also a rainbow halo appear before their eyes.
Naturally, the named manifestations do not simply arise. Although it’s not worth talking about the development of a dangerous disease right away. You need to wait for diagnostic data. You can often hear that when you look at a light source, you see a multi-colored halo. If evenly colored circles appear, there are different reasons. First of all, you should know about the so-called diffraction phenomenon. For example, when you look at a street lamp through foggy glass at night, you can see rainbow phenomena around the light source. A similar effect occurs when the lenses of glasses are scratched.

As for ophthalmic pathology, the symptom is the result of a “foggy” environment of the eye. This is observed in patients with cataracts or glaucoma.

Doctors warn: when you are simultaneously bothered by painful discomfort in the eye and multi-colored circles, you need to urgently seek help. Such manifestations indicate the development of glaucoma, so treatment should not be delayed.

The combination of rainbow circles in the eyes and double vision requires a thorough examination. The symptoms should be alarming, since we are talking about a condition where, most likely, the stem structures were affected.

The appearance of rainbow circles can be explained by the presence of visual hallucinations.

In addition, a patient with a developing mental illness will suffer from:

  • delirium;
  • paralogical judgments;
  • insomnia;
  • auditory hallucinations and other symptoms.

People who are prescribed a course of treatment with:

  • antidepressants;
  • "Cortisone";
  • sedatives, for example, Haloperidol;
  • contraceptives;
  • medications for heart disorders.
  1. Ophthalmological.
  2. Neurological.
  3. Psychiatric.

Due to the fact that with glaucoma there is an increase in intraocular pressure, the cornea swells. Thus, rainbow halos occur.

Why might flicker appear in the eyes due to ophthalmological diseases?

Such diseases include:

  1. Pathology of the retina , due to which detachment begins to occur at the edges of the scars.
  2. Change or destruction in the structure of the vitreous body . The intraocular fluid liquefies, the tissues thicken and wrinkle.
  3. Mechanical damage.
  4. Cataracts and glaucoma cause pathological changes.
  5. Corneal edema , which causes compression of nerve endings and small vessels in the eye.
  6. Uveitis.
  7. Myopia.

Treatment

Therapy depends on the cause that caused the disorder.

The following categories of drugs are prescribed:

  • antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal local eye preparations for conjunctivitis;
  • drugs that reduce intracranial, intraocular, and blood pressure;
  • drops that eliminate clouding of the lens during the first stage of cataracts;
  • surgery to remove cataracts and install an artificial model in severe cases of the disease;
  • non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, painkillers, nootropics for diseases of the nervous system;
  • antidepressants, sedatives, consultation with a psychiatrist for mental disorders.

Throughout treatment, it is recommended to periodically visit a doctor to diagnose the patient’s condition.

Causes of black circles in eyes

Floaters, VEIL BEFORE THE EYES, rainbow circles and double vision

Here is a list of things that can change your vision.

Veil before the eyes.

Rainbow circles when you look at a lit object, such as a street lamp or the headlights of an approaching car.

Loss of peripheral vision: You can see, but only narrowly straight ahead, not to the sides.

Flashes of light or zigzag lines.

Intolerance to bright light.

Poor central vision - you see better on the sides.

1. Local disorders in one eye or both.

2. Weakness of the muscles that control eye movements.

3. Neurological problem inside the brain.

4. Disease not related to the eyes or brain.

5. Reaction to medications.

To “find out” the exact cause, let’s first look in your home medicine cabinet.

Blurred vision, spots and rainbow circles can be caused by medications. Some medications, including antidepressants, cortisone, anti-anxiety medications (Haldol), birth control pills, heart medications, and medications used for Parkinson's disease, impair vision by increasing pressure in the eye.

If you have double vision (doctors call it diplopia), it's important to know whether it's happening in one eye or both. (It is possible to see everything double with only one eye.) To determine this, close one eye for a while.

If you are 40 years old or older and have started seeing spots or floating objects in your vision, don't worry. This is a very common phenomenon in completely healthy elderly people, it indicates the presence of intermediate metabolic products.

You are more likely to see these spots if you are nearsighted. Over time they will bother you less. If, however, the spots are so numerous or large that they interfere with your vision, see an eye doctor (though, frankly, I don't know what he can do for you).

Are bright lights suddenly annoying you? Many people with thin skin cannot tolerate bright light. However, if this symptom is new to you, it may indicate an eye infection, inflammation, or injury. It also occurs in glaucoma and some types of cataracts. Find out.

If you suddenly notice a blind spot when you look straight ahead and it lasts for several days, see your doctor. You may have bleeding inside your eye. If you see bright spots, rainbow circles, zigzag lines, or loss of peripheral vision followed by a severe headache, you have had a migraine attack. These visual disturbances will soon pass.

If you are a diabetic and suddenly notice occasional or constant double vision, your eye muscles have been weakened by the disease. This symptom is usually temporary.

If you are 60 or 70 years old and experience double vision for several minutes or hours, it is likely due to a spasm (transient ischemic attack) or a blockage in one of the brain's arteries (stroke), especially if you have high blood pressure. Contact your doctor immediately.

If you're under 40 and suddenly experience double or blurry vision and notice an unsteady gait, the most likely cause, at least statistically, is early-onset multiple sclerosis.

If you are a woman between 30 and 40 years old and take birth control pills, smoke and develop blurry or double vision, the cause is a vascular disorder in the brain. While some of this is due to hormones, the main culprit lies with cigarettes.

If you have diabetes, you may find that your glasses are good some days, but other days your vision through them is blurry. These changes are associated with fluctuations in blood sugar. Don't waste money on new glasses because nothing will change until you stabilize your blood sugar.

If you suddenly go blind in one eye and your vision does not return quickly, the central retinal artery behind the eye may be blocked either by a blood clot or by arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries).

Here are a few other options to keep in mind.

You're over 50, every muscle in your body has been sore and tense for days, you have a slight fever, you've lost your appetite, and you feel weak. Suddenly, as if all this was not enough, you go blind in one eye.

If you are 60 years of age or older, have glaucoma, diabetes, or high blood pressure, and begin to notice gradual loss of vision in one eye, you may have a blocked central retinal vein (not an artery).

If you are a pre-menopausal woman taking birth control pills and experience flashes of sparkling lights in your eyes followed by periods of temporary blindness, this is a migraine.

DETAILS: A set of exercises to relieve high blood pressure

If you are over 60 and lose central vision and see better on one side, you have age-related macular degeneration. It is part of the aging process and there is no way to prevent it or cure it nowadays.

Vision is a priceless gift, the loss of which is a tragedy. If you experience any of the symptoms described above, consult your doctor immediately.

  • aging: after 50 years this is a normal phenomenon;
  • myopia: nearsighted people are especially prone to such changes; in their case, dark circles may appear even in adolescence;
  • eye injuries: if blood particles enter the vitreous body, they will create a shadow on the retina;
  • inflammatory processes;
  • metabolic disease;
  • high blood pressure;
  • other factors.

How to exclude the possible development of glaucoma?

Multi-colored halos can appear not only with glaucoma. This is why it is so important to undergo a thorough examination before making a final diagnosis. In addition, it is necessary to distinguish between the conditions in which the symptom occurs. After all, the disease can be anything.

If the cause of rainbow halos lies in conjunctivitis, the patient will observe them when he fixes his gaze on the light source. But if the mucus accumulated in the eyes is removed, they immediately disappear.

In patients with cataracts, the sign is constantly present. Usually it makes itself felt when the visual organ is clogged.

If you have glaucoma, then the circles have nothing to do with mucus in the eyes and do not disappear. The patient will see a halo at any time as soon as he looks at the light source.

You should always remain calm, even if there are specific signs. A disease detected in time can almost always be cured in a short time. Complications occur in those people who do not pay special attention to the condition of their eyes and postpone treatment for an indefinite period.

  • conjunctivitis;
  • cataracts;
  • glaucoma.

You should not immediately panic if an obvious symptom indicating the formation of glaucoma appears. You cannot make a diagnosis based solely on the presence of rainbow circles. Only through diagnostics can you get the most accurate results. The main thing is that it is carried out by a qualified ophthalmologist.

Prevention

Prevention of any visual impairment is a healthy lifestyle. This includes giving up smoking, alcohol, and regular exercise, which would have a positive effect on the condition of the blood vessels and spine, rather than depressing their health. The formation of dark spots is a reason to take your health seriously. Initially, you need to go to a doctor to diagnose the disorders, and then follow all the recommendations.

First of all, take care of the health of the body as a whole - your diet should contain the vitamins and minerals necessary for development. Substances beneficial for vision can be found in foods such as fish, sunflower oil, carrots, and berries.

Protect your eyes from overstrain, injury and negative environmental influences:

  • wear sunglasses;
  • provide adequate lighting in the workplace and at home;
  • When working with motorized equipment or welding, do not forget about special safety glasses.

Treatment and prevention of flickering before the eyes

As you can see, there can be many reasons for the appearance of flickering before the eyes. If the symptom recurs repeatedly, you should immediately consult a doctor. Be sure to visit a therapist, ophthalmologist and take a blood test.

Carefully review your lifestyle. The diet must be complete; products must contain all the vitamins and minerals necessary for normal functioning. In winter, when the body is especially lacking in nutrients, you need to additionally take a complex of vitamins.

Your daily diet must include fresh vegetables, fruits, nuts and herbs. Blueberries, apricots, dried apricots, and bell peppers are especially beneficial for the eyes. To prevent the development of anemia, you should consume veal, beef liver, fresh pomegranate juice, and apples several times a week.

Visual impairment can occur from smoking, excessive alcohol consumption and certain medications. If flickering occurs while taking medication, try stopping the drug for a few days (after consulting with your doctor in advance) and monitor your condition. If the visual impairment was caused by taking the medication, it should be replaced.

Visual impairment often occurs among office workers who spend long periods of time in front of computer monitors. This happens especially often when the technology is long outdated. If you believe that your visual impairment is due to a bad monitor, you should ask your employer to replace it, because otherwise you may experience even more serious visual impairment that will be difficult or completely impossible to correct. Take short breaks every hour while working. In this case, you can simply sit with your eyes closed, or you can perform special gymnastics for the eyes.

It should be remembered that the eyes, like the entire body, need fresh air. Every day you need to take walks. Many people notice that during a summer vacation spent in nature, vision begins to improve and eye fatigue disappears. If the symptom is caused by osteochondrosis of the cervical spine, a course of treatment should be carried out. To prevent the disease, do regular massage, therapeutic exercises, and exercise more often.

If preventive measures do not help, a comprehensive examination of the body should be carried out and the cause that causes the symptom should be identified.

In some cases, emergency surgery may even be required. Therefore, be careful about your health and do not ignore the signals that your body sends!

Why do rainbow circles appear before my eyes?

Eyes are one of the most vulnerable human sensory organs. They are susceptible to many diseases and injuries. Ophthalmologists note that, according to statistics, rainbow circles in the eyes are one of the most common.

There is no one reason why this happens. Rainbow circles before the eyes can be a consequence of either illness or injury. The main reasons why this happens:

  1. The problem is inside the brain. For example, with vessels.
  2. Loss of control of eye movements due to weakness of the eye muscles.
  3. Changes in the internal state of one or both eyes.
  4. Diseases not related to the eyes. A “rainbow” may appear in the case of diabetes. But this is a temporary symptom.
  5. Effects of drugs.
  6. Severe impacts or other injuries. For example, during training or if you accidentally hit something with your temple or the eye itself.

These are the main reasons why circles may appear before the eyes. Before thinking about any disease as the cause, you should look into the medications taken on the same day. Circles can talk about their side effects.

This symptom is directly related to the cornea, since rainbow circles are changes in the cornea’s reflection of the rays entering it. This indicates swelling - glaucoma. Rainbow circles before the eyes, as a cause, indicate the severity of glaucoma. The brighter they are, the more visual acuity drops, the sooner you should consult a doctor.

If vision disturbance appears along with the circles, followed by a sharp headache, then this is a migraine. Don't worry. The eyes will return to normal after the head calms down.

This means serious problems with the brain or a serious pathology. This is not something you can diagnose on your own. The full cause can only be discovered after an MRI examination of the head.

Not so often, but it occurs as a symptom of mental illness. But the appearance of rainbow circles occurs not as a result of injury or damage as a physiological phenomenon, but in the form of a hallucination, when the brain independently invents this as part of the real world for it.

When the cause of rainbow circles is not medication, you should immediately consult a doctor in order to take all measures in time and protect your eyes or other organs from damage.

Ophthalmologists advise making several rotational movements with your eyes, and then looking up and down several times. If there are foreign particles floating in the vitreous body of the eye, this will help get rid of them.

If dark circles before your eyes appear when you stand up suddenly, then you just need to freeze for a few seconds - the pressure will return to normal and your vision will normalize. If dark circles begin to dance during exercise or walking, then the cause may be low blood glucose levels. Take a break and eat something sweet.

Dark circles before the eyes are one of the symptoms of high blood pressure, so it’s a good idea to measure it. With a sharp change in lighting, when looking at objects that are too bright, or with a sudden change in body position, even a completely healthy person can see circles before the eyes.

Possible causes of flickering

Flickering in the eyes occurs due to a variety of reasons. It usually occurs in the morning, when getting up suddenly or after sitting for a long time at work. In addition, it may be accompanied by slight dizziness. This is not the worst thing that can happen, because this is a normal reaction of the body to a sudden change in position. Blood pressure drops and flashes may appear in the eyes. High blood pressure also provokes the appearance of flickering in the eyes. If this happens rarely, then there is no need to worry.

Frequent flashes or blinking is the first sign that something serious has happened to the body. If flickering in the eyes occurs frequently, you should immediately seek medical help, because this is one of the signs of quite serious diseases. Here is a small list of possible ailments that also cause flickering in the eyes:

  1. Severe poisoning. Toxins affect the digestive tract and partly the nervous system.
  2. Intravenous bleeding, severe bleeding.
  3. Hypertensive crisis.
  4. Eclampsia.
  5. Hypotension.
  6. Cervical osteochondrosis.
  7. Some inflammatory processes in the eye area.
  8. Retinal tear.

If the symptom does not disappear and recurs regularly, urgent measures must be taken without hesitation - call a doctor or an ambulance, since in some cases dizziness and then loss of consciousness occur.

Treatment of visual pathology

Treatment tactics are selected taking into account the factor that caused the appearance of rounded figures before the eyes. The main ways to eliminate unwanted visual effects are:

  • drug therapy;
  • surgical intervention.

Special ophthalmic exercises, as well as traditional medicine, are used as auxiliary methods.

Essential Medicines

The medication course is based on the use of various types of medications. The patient may be prescribed:

  1. Local preparations with antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal properties. Such pharmacological products are most often used for conjunctivitis.
  2. Drugs that help normalize intracranial, intraocular, and blood pressure.
  3. Eye drops that help restore normal transparency of the lens. This type of medication is most relevant at the early stage of cataracts.
  4. Non-steroidal, nootropic, painkillers, anti-inflammatory drugs, drugs that improve cerebral circulation. These medications are used for confirmed neurological disorders.
  5. Antidepressants, sedative products addressed to patients with mental pathologies.

Surgical intervention

The need for surgery arises when the medication course is insufficiently effective, or in the presence of severe ophthalmological diseases (primarily cataracts). Experts turn to two main methods of surgical treatment:

  • laser correction of visual defects;
  • vitrectomy, which consists of removing the vitreous body and filling the vacated space with specific solutions.

Vitrectomy is considered a radical treatment method, used extremely rarely. The procedure can provoke undesirable postoperative effects in the form of hemorrhages, clouding of the lens, and others.

Gymnastics and folk remedies

Special exercises that help eliminate rainbow circles before the eyes are selected together with an ophthalmologist. To obtain a positive result, gymnastics must be combined with the main treatment and performed regularly.

Folk remedies are also used after doctor's approval. The improvement of the general condition of the visual apparatus is facilitated by massage of the eyeballs, compositions with propolis or honey used for eye drops.

What to do?

To diagnose and determine the correct course of treatment for the symptoms described above, you should consult an ophthalmologist.

Treatment of lightning in the eyes is characterized not by eliminating the symptom, but by eliminating the cause that led to this phenomenon. If the retina or vitreous is detached, urgent surgical treatment is indicated. Surgical intervention in this case involves vitrectomy and subsequent filling of the resulting space with silicone or gas.

In cases of minor hemorrhages in the retina, the most effective treatment method is laser coagulation, which prevents the further development of pathological processes.

Why do multi-colored spots sometimes float before my eyes? How can I get rid of them?

Rainbow circles are a symptom of several diseases at once.

1) glaucoma (damage to the optic nerve due to intraocular pressure);

2) cataract (clouding of the lens);

3) acute and subacute conjunctivitis;

1) cervical osteochondrosis;

1) accompanied by visual hallucinations.

And such bright circles appear when you look at the sun or a bright source of light. In this case, it is better to close your eyes and blink.

If multi-colored spots and circles are floating in front of your eyes - first of all, calm down, if you are excited, smoothly close your eyes, just close them and not squint your eyes, then slowly count to 20, open and see whether there are spots left or not.

If the circles remain, then do not procrastinate, and quickly make an appointment with an ophthalmologist, since this may be a sign of several eye diseases, and this is not something to joke about.

Therefore, the sooner the doctor finds out the reason, the better, don’t hesitate.

1) Perhaps these multi-colored spots appeared before the eyes after being in the bright sun or in a room with flickering light. In this case, there is nothing to worry about, everything will go away on its own;

2) This fact may also indicate eye diseases such as conjunctivitis, cataracts, glaucoma. Here you need to consult an ophthalmologist;

3) The causes may also be of a neurological nature: pinched nerve, cervical osteochondrosis and hypertension.

In any case, if you do not understand the reason for the appearance of these spots, the first thing you need to do is contact an ophthalmologist, and then you will see.

It’s bad when such symptoms occur after 45 years, then with this problem you need to quickly see a doctor and he will prescribe treatment, but in addition to treatment, you also need to follow a regimen and diet of air walks or light jogging. This is how you can comprehensively deal with such a problem.

Why dont know. And I get rid of it this way: I close my eyes, cover them with my palms on top so that it becomes completely dark, but don’t press, and think about something good, imagine something. But under no circumstances focus on these circles. I learned about this method a long time ago when I was trying to restore my vision.

It all depends on what after what these circles appear, if, for example, after the sun and bright light, then it is not dangerous, just look for a few minutes and blink in an unlit place. But if rainbow circles appear suddenly, for no apparent reason, then you should definitely visit an ophthalmologist, since such symptoms may indicate various eye diseases.

Some people can actually see bright spots in front of their eyes; they can be yellow or multi-colored.

The cause of this condition can be strong physical exertion, or if you are at the computer or phone for quite a long time, that is, looking closely at the monitor screen.

There may be serious eye diseases, you will need to consult an ophthalmologist. Vascular diseases and pinching of the cervical vertebrae can also cause this condition.

One of the reasons, as for example it happens to me, may be an inflammatory process of the nasal sinuses. This happens to me when chronic sinusitis becomes inflamed. The nose, eyes and head are aching terribly and when you close your eyes you can see a rainbow - either colored stripes or shimmering circles.

Circles and spots arise for various reasons, for example, a “bunny” was caught from welding.

Perhaps the pressure has jumped.

Perhaps the body was simply overstrained (severe fatigue).

Or perhaps this is due to an eye disease; here you can’t do without the help of a doctor.

There is no need to talk about how important vision is for a person - it is obvious. Therefore, any disorders of eye function, for example, the appearance of spots in front of the eyes of different colors, can be a serious signal that it is time to visit an ophthalmologist.

Pathologies of the organs of vision have recently become younger, for which there are explanations:

  • great emotional and physical stress;
  • prolonged exposure to a PC monitor, as well as in front of a TV and other gadgets that require excessive visual concentration;
  • lack of rest for the eyes (outdoor walks, etc.).

If any deviations in the field of vision appear (spots, spots, lightning appear in the eyes), it is very important to determine the reason that provoked this condition.

And here the nature of the spots and their color play an important role.

In most cases, the following homeopathic remedies are prescribed for this pathology:

  1. For black, brown and yellow circles, with a blurry picture, for haze, the following are prescribed: Agaricus, Coffea tosta, Thuja, Sulfur, Terebinthinae oleum, Nux vomica ).
  2. For floaters, and also if the patient cannot concentrate his gaze on an object for a long time, Argentum nitricum is prescribed.
  3. Baryta sulphurica is a good remedy for blurred vision and bright flashes.
  4. The homeopathic medicine Coffea tosta effectively helps with haze and pain in bright light.
  5. If cataracts begin to develop, the homeopathic remedy Senega is often prescribed.
  6. If the dots dance and vision noticeably decreases, Natrium carbonicum is prescribed.
  7. For white sparkling spots, the drug Viola odorata is prescribed.

DETAILS: Hemorrhage under the eye

What diseases have this symptom?

Flashes, lightning and other unpleasant sensations in the eyes can indicate the presence of various diseases in the human body:

  1. Arterial hypertension . High blood pressure causes spasms of blood vessels located in the retina of the eye. Hemorrhage occurs, causing visual function to decrease.
  2. Hypotension . An insufficient amount of blood enters the vessels, which leads to flickering.
  3. Cervical osteochondrosis . Due to the displacement of the vertebrae, the nerve endings are pinched and do not receive the required amount of blood.
  4. Anemia . A decrease in hemoglobin provokes continuous flickering, dizziness, and blurred vision.
  5. Diabetes mellitus . Due to increased glucose levels, the retina of the eye is affected, causing flicker.
  6. Vision diseases. Flickering can be caused by cataracts, glaucoma, and myopia.
  7. Migraine . Flashes before the eyes are harbingers of the imminent appearance of a severe headache.
  8. Eclampsia . This is late toxicosis, which occurs in late pregnancy. At the first sign of a symptom, it is important not to delay visiting a gynecologist, as there is a high probability of a hypertensive crisis.
  9. Vitamin deficiency or unbalanced diet . The flickering goes away after taking vitamin supplements and adjusting the diet.
  10. Intoxication of the body . The optic nerve is damaged.

Floaters, blurred vision, rainbow circles and double vision

Here is a list of things that can change your vision:

  • Veil before the eyes.
  • Spots before the eyes.
  • Rainbow circles when you look at an illuminated object such as a street lamp or the headlights of an approaching car.
  • Loss of peripheral vision: You can see, but only narrowly straight ahead, not to the sides.

  • Neurological problem inside the brain.
  • A disease not related to the eyes or brain.
  • Reaction to medications.
  • Injury.

If you have double vision (doctors call it diplopia), it's important to know whether it's happening in one eye or both. (It is possible to see everything double with only one eye.) To determine this, close one eye for a while.

If you suddenly see what appears to be a downpour, a shower of sparks through a veil in front of your eye, you may have a retinal detachment. This often happens in older people with myopia. As the lens of the eye curved, the retina behind it curled up and separated.

If you see bright spots, rainbow circles, zigzag lines, or loss of peripheral vision followed by a severe headache, you have had a migraine attack. These visual disturbances will soon pass.

If you are 60 or 70 years old and have been seeing double for several minutes or hours, it is likely due to a spasm (transient ischemic attack) or blockage of one of the arteries in the brain (stroke), especially if you have high blood pressure. Contact your doctor immediately.

If you are a pre-menopausal woman taking birth control pills and experience flashes of sparkling lights in your eyes followed by periods of temporary blindness, this is a migraine.

Eye diseases

When unpleasant effects appear before your eyes, the thought comes that the cause is an eye disease. Indeed, very often they are caused by retinal pathology. The probable cause is irritation of retinal cells along the edges of the scars after retinal detachment. Regular appearance of flies and flickering warns of a possible imminent hemorrhage or rupture of the retina. Spots that appear suddenly in front of the eyes or on the side may signal dystrophic changes or detachment of the posterior hyaloid membrane. Iridescent bright rings can appear when the pupil dilates excessively and stops in this state. You also need to check the lenses of your glasses: there is probably damage to their surface.

If iridescent rings appear simultaneously with a dazzling shine, then corneal edema or worsening cataracts are likely. Clouding of the ocular environment is also possible.

Some eye diseases cause white spots, bright flashes of light, such as uveitis. It is often accompanied by a headache. This disease is treated under the supervision of a doctor with injections into the eye area.

The appearance of a large number of dark shimmering spots of various shapes often worries elderly people suffering from myopia. This is due to age-related changes or occurs after serious illnesses. The ophthalmologist will prescribe appropriate drops to eliminate unpleasant symptoms.

Primary vision diagnostics

What should you do if these symptoms appear regularly or if you are worried about constant flickering in your eyes? Under no circumstances should you prescribe treatment for yourself. Only an examination and recommendations from an ophthalmologist will bring relief and stabilize the condition of the eyes. Most often, conservative treatment is prescribed, but there are cases when surgical intervention is necessary.

Performing eye surgery

Bright and yellow spots

Some people come to the ophthalmologist complaining that floating yellow spots or circles appear in front of their eyes, which can be very bright or almost invisible. The appearance of these yellow spots may be accompanied by some other symptoms, including:

  • blurred or double vision;
  • recurrent headaches;
  • flashing circles, bright and instant flashes;
  • a sharp and sudden increase in the size of spots;
  • sudden dizziness. If yellow spots are accompanied by pain in certain areas of the head or nausea, then they may be caused by a migraine.

If floating spots of yellow color alternate with bright sudden flashes, then here we are talking about detachment of the vitreous body. If the appearance of yellow spots is accompanied by distortion of vision, this may indicate the presence of a detachment of a certain part of the retina.

Causes

The reasons for this phenomenon are very diverse. Among the most common of them:

  • retinal damage or detachment;
  • chorioditis (inflammatory deformations of the choroid of the organ);
  • retinal tension due to posterior vitreous detachment;
  • tumors;
  • secondary retinal detachment (in case of eye injuries);
  • disruptions in the blood circulation of the organ of vision;
  • prolonged severe pain in the head;
  • hemorrhage;
  • presence of asteroid bodies;
  • swelling of the macula.
